Personal Essay Revising Goals

Goal #1: Make it so the reader can feel what I was feeling in the scene.
  • I'll do this by adding more descriptions and laying out the scene more clearly.
Goal #2: Make sure it does not become repetitive.
  • Although the paper is about one belief I want to make sure I don't repeat myself too much and bore the reader. I'll do this by using a variety of strategies instead of just stories or just quotes.
Goal #3: Make sure it can relate to everyone, not just me.
  • I know this paper is about what I believe and why I believe it, but I want to use evidence from other people's lives so that it can relate to a wide variety of readers.

  3. Good goals. More detail and description would be good, the problem is there is a 500 word limit so it can't get much longer. Relating it too others will add to its affect on the reader. Try to find a common experience that many people would share. Anywho, It's up the hizzle. (I'm pretty sure that is a good thing)

  5. People HATE repetition in writing pieces. I think you're making a good decision by trying to stop it from repeating itself. Good call, Boss.
